You are invited to the final event of a special series on collecting and appraising heirlooms, rare books, works on paper, comics and more!
Join us in welcoming specialists from PBA Galleries Auctioneers and Appraisers for a free auction appraisal program!
Have you ever wondered if your family heirlooms are valuable? Are you a serious collector or new to the world of collecting?
Knowledgeable specialists, Bruce MacMakin and Ivan Briggs, from PBA Galleries will be on hand to evaluate books, photographs, maps, manuscripts, comic books, fine pens and watches. Please note that the appraisers will not evaluate stamps, baseball cards, sports memorabilia, coins, antique toys, or fine art, and are providing auction estimates, not formal appraisals for tax or insurance purposes.
Arrive early to secure your spot! Evaluations will be conducted on a first-come, first-served basis, and you will have several minutes to meet with an appraiser. Registrants may bring one guest, as seating is limited.
If possible, bring documentation or provenance that might help with the appraisal. To ensure everyone gets a chance to participate, please limit to three items per person; if you have more items, you may speak with the appraiser about your collection.
Whether you’re looking to learn more about your items or just curious about their value, this is a fantastic opportunity.
Don’t miss out on the opportunity to discover more about your treasures, and if you have not done so already, sign up for two special presentations leading up to this exciting event:
September 7 - Learn about rare and collectible maps, presented by Bruce MacMakin, Senior Vice President, expert on rare books and works on paper with over 30 years of experience.
September 14 - Discover medieval manuscripts and early printed books with Tristan Navarro, specialist in religious literature and pre-1600 leaves.
PBA Galleries is based on a nearly 70 year tradition of proud service to collectors of rare and fine books.
