Lend a helping hand at the Library!

Middle and high school students who need to earn community service credit for school or who want to volunteer at the Library for a fun experience can sign up to be a "helping hand"!

The first step is to complete the Teen Volunteer Application.

Next, sign up for the dates you can attend. If your plans change, make sure to cancel your registration.

Shifts are weekly on Thursday afternoons. Community service hours are listed as 3:30-5:30 but if you can't arrive before 4 pm, you can work until 6 pm for a full two hours credit.

If you cannot attend on Thursdays, contact the Teen Librarian at teens@beltiblibrary.org to request another day. If you are available on Wednesdays after school, you can help run Afterschool Lounge serving snacks and cleaning up.

Please bring your school community service form to the library for signature if you have one. You are responsible for tracking your time, so make note of the days and hours you work.

Tasks will be assigned when you check in at the Teen Room and may include working in the garden, keeping the Teen Room organized and clean, shelving books, and other assignments.

If you are an experienced Dungeons & Dragons DM, or have knowledge of Anime and Manga, and are interested in leading a club as a special volunteer opportunity, please contact the Teen Librarian at teens@beltiblibrary.org
