Lend a helping hand at the Library!

Middle and high school students who need to earn community service credit for school or who want to volunteer at the Library for a fun experience can sign up to be a "helping hand"!

The first step is to complete the Teen Volunteer Application.

Next, sign up for the dates you can attend. If your plans change, make sure to cancel your registration.

Community service hours are 4-6 pm Thursdays; you can volunteer for part or all of that time.

Please bring your school community service form to the library for signature if you have one. You are responsible for tracking your time, so make note of the days and hours you work.

Tasks will be assigned when you check in at the Teen Room and may include working in the garden, keeping the Teen Room organized and clean, shelving books, and other assignments.

Community service opportunities are also available on select Wednesdays and Sundays (see the library calendar) and occasionally other days for special events.

MAY 29 WILL BE A TEEN VOLUNTEER APPRECIATION PARTY AT THE REGULARLY SCHEDULED VOLUNTEER TIME 4-6 PM. IF YOU WANT TO ATTEND, JOIN THE "WAITLIST" ON THE REGISTRATION FORM AND YOU WILL BE ADDED TO THE RSVP. THIS WILL BE A CHANCE TO HANG OUT AND ENJOY SNACKS, GAMES, WATCH A MOVIE, ETC. (VOLUNTEERS WILL SERVE AND CLEAN UP TO EARN YOUR COMMUNITY SERVICE CREDIT).
