Lend a helping hand at the Library!
Middle and high school students who need to earn community service credit for school or who want to volunteer at the Library for a fun experience can sign up to be a "helping hand"!
The first step is to complete the Teen Volunteer Application.
Next, sign up for the dates you can work. If your plans change, make sure to cancel your registration.
This posting is to work at our bookstore, Corner Books, on Saturday from 12-2 pm. When you arrive at the Library, go directly to Corner Books near the street-facing entrance.
There is some flexibility in the schedule, so let us know if you need to arrive/leave at a different time.
You will be working with an adult volunteer who will assign your tasks, which will include organizing books.
If you have a school community service form, please bring it for supervisor signature. You are responsible for tracking your time, so make note of the days and hours you work.
If you need to change your shift or have any questions, contact the Teen Librarian at teens@beltiblibrary.org.
The Library was designed by the firm of Bull, Stockwell, and Allen. The architectural style is that of the 19th century railroad yard in Tiburon.
The site is part of the landfill of the 1890s done to create the railroad yard. Windows frame views of the marsh lands and Old St. Hilary's Open Space preserve.
The expanded library was designed by Brown Reynolds Watford Architecture and added approximately 9,000 square feet, bringing the total size of the library to about 19,500 square feet.
