Story Selections:

For July 8, we'll discuss the following two stories from from The Best American Short Stories of the Century:

  1. "The Interior Castle" by Jean Stafford (1947) pp. 250-263
  2. "Miami-New York" by Martha Gellhorn (1948) pp. 264-280 

There are also very brief biographical notes on each author at the end of the anthology:
