Join us at Zelinsky Park for San Francisco Shakespeare Festival’s touring production of Julius Caesar — a powerful mix of drama, emotion, and political commentary!

Experience thrilling betrayals, powerful speeches, and unforgettable moments of emotion and political intrigue. Enjoy free snacks!

Framed within Shakespeare’s eloquent and evocative language, this exploration of political intrigue, betrayal, and the impact of leadership is timeless. Fascinating and complex characters create a chain reaction that quickly spirals out of control. Shakespeare’s deft examination of how power can affect people, and the lengths they are willing to go to obtain it, provides rich material for consideration.

Don’t miss the Q&A with the cast right after the hour-long performance!

Fun for all ages, from elementary students to adults.

Free snacks.

Rain or shine — in case of rain, we’ll move indoors to the Library’s Founders Room.

San Francisco Shakespeare Festival was founded in 1983 with their signature "Free Shakespeare in the Park" program that has helped make the words and themes of Shakespeare accessible to everyone, regardless of age, ethnicity, financial status, or level of education.

The Festival's "Shakespeare on Tour" program travels across California to bring the magic of live theater and the beauty of Shakespeare's language to libraries, schools, and community centers. The production is professionally directed and suitable for elementary students through adults.
