Afterschool Homework Helpers

Grades 3 - 6

Students in Grades 3 to 6 can visit the library and receive drop-in homework help from teen volunteers.

During this weekly program, two teen volunteers will be available in the Children's Room on Mondays after school to help kids in grades 3-6 with homework activities in math, science, and English/language arts in one-on-one drop-in sessions.

Homework Helpers will help kids complete assignments, enhance study skills, reduce anxiety, and boost fconfidence. Helpers will offer clarification and advice, but will not supply answers!

Currently, the library is seeking two high school students per one-hour session weekly. There may be future opportunities for more students as this new program grows.

Homework Helpers will not meet on days when school is not in session at Reed Union or Tamalpais Union schools, or on minimum or early release days.
