Crochet Club

Fall/Winter Session

Whether you are a beginner, advanced or in the middle, you can join Crochet Club to learn the basics, practice stitches and patterns, fine tune your skills, and have fun with other crochet friends!

Join librarians Birgitta (Makerspace) and Rebecca (Teen Department) to learn and practice several crochet stitches and techniques.

This program is for all skill levels; beginners will learn basic techniques like making a chain, single and double crochet stitches, reading a pattern, increasing and decreasing, crochet in the round, and adding a color. 

Materials and tools will be provided, but you are welcome to bring your own supplies, tools and yarns. We recommend using yarn weight 4 and hook size H/8 (5.0 mm) or I/9 (5.5 mm).

We will use patterns and instructions from CreativeBug and other library resources.

If you have intermediate or advanced crochet skills, you are welcome to join and lend a helping hand with beginners, and you may work on your own project.

We will meet in the Teen Room on Wednesday mornings for four sessions in November and December, then continue next year after the holiday season.
