Kick off summer and bring the beats! Meet internationally-trained DJ Yuka Yu and learn how to DJ. This class is for teens in grades 6-12 who want to learn from scratch or brush up on their DJ skills.
Whether you already DJ or are a beginner, this course is a great place to start.
Learn how to download and organize your music collection, use Rekordbox to prepare your playlists, and mix harmonically.
Preparing your set – Learn the different formats and how to download and organize your music library. Get your hands on the controls and learn how to load your tracks.
From there, we will go over how the DJ equipment is set up and go over some options so that if you decide to buy your own, you’ll be set to play in no time.
You will have a chance to play a track on a Pioneer DDJ mixer.
This exciting class is for teens and tweens in grades 6-12.
The library will provide laptops and USB drives, or you can bring your own.
International DJ Yuka Yu brings her talent and skills learned at the London Sound Academy. She has been performing since 2018 and resides in Tiburon.

The Library was designed by the firm of Bull, Stockwell, and Allen. The architectural style is that of the 19th century railroad yard in Tiburon.
The site is part of the landfill of the 1890s done to create the railroad yard. Windows frame views of the marsh lands and Old St. Hilary's Open Space preserve.
The expanded library was designed by Brown Reynolds Watford Architecture and added approximately 9,000 square feet, bringing the total size of the library to about 19,500 square feet.
