Are you ready to immerse yourself in the enchanting world of classical ballet? Join us for an exciting series of Ballet Appreciation classes, perfect for adults and seniors who want to explore the artistry and storytelling behind four iconic story ballets.

What to Expect:

  • Four hour-long sessions, each focusing on a different classical ballet
  • Learn the captivating stories behind these timeless productions
  • Analyze the beautiful musical scores that bring these tales to life
  • Watch breathtaking video footage from professional company performances
  • Experience the joy of dance with a 20-minute choreography lesson

No prior ballet experience needed! Most of the class will be seated, making it accessible for all. For the short dance portion, simply wear comfortable clothing that allows for movement.

About the branch

The Library was designed by the firm of Bull, Stockwell, and Allen. The architectural style is that of the 19th century railroad yard in Tiburon. 
 
The site is part of the landfill of the 1890s done to create the railroad yard. Windows frame views of the marsh lands and Old St. Hilary's Open Space preserve. 
 
The expanded library was designed by Brown Reynolds Watford Architecture and added approximately 9,000 square feet, bringing the total size of the library to about 19,500 square feet.
