Join us for a presentation and Q&A with George Landau, the subject of Lies and Miracles.

Join us to watch the 40-minute documentary "Lies and Miracles" with George Landau, a local resident and subject of the documentary. A Q&A will follow the screening.

According to 92-year-old George- Today the deportations to Siberia are continuing. Those being deported are Ukrainians. Even more 'in human' is the fact that before being deported their children are being forcibly given up for adoption and given to Russian families under the guise of 'reeducation'!

George urges people to wake up, appreciate and protect the freedoms that we have – even if you think that they are eroding.

This event is co-hosted by the Rotary Club of Tiburon-Belvedere

An almost forgotten fact about WWII and the Holocaust is that initially Germany and Russia were Allies.

World War II began on 1st of September 1939 when Nazi Germany invaded Poland from the West and two weeks later the Soviet Union invaded Poland from the East.

Jews who fled Hitler to Eastern Poland together with other Polish Jews and Christians- professionals, businessmen, as well as ordinary citizens who lived in the Eastern Poland were deemed enemies of the people by Stalin and 1.7 million men, women and children were deported in cattle cars to slave labor camps in remote Siberian Gulag to work in mines, farms or remote logging camps.

Over half of these men, women and children died. 250,000 thousand Polish Jews including George Landau and his family survived.
