Join our hands-on filmmaking workshops to learn the basics of filmmaking. In this session, we will cover the elements of a 3-minute film. No experience is necessary, and drop-ins are welcome.

Have a story you want to tell? We've partnered with the Belvedere Home Made Film Festival for a new workshop series. The free Filmmaking Workshops are your chance to dive headfirst into the exciting world of filmmaking.

Learn the essential elements of storytelling, visual aesthetics, and key technical aspects to bring your film to life.

Workshop topics will change week to week. Come to one or all of them!

Get hands-on with equipment and techniques used in scriptwriting, cinematography, audio, lighting, and directing.

Work alongside other passionate individuals, share ideas, and build your network.

Bring your laptops and story ideas, then be prepared to brainstorm with a supportive group of aspiring filmmakers. We’ll put your newfound knowledge into practice and help produce your short film!

Submit your creation to be featured in the next BHMFF.

Entry Deadline: August 31, 2025

Please note: Registration is encouraged, but drop-ins are welcome.
