Teens in middle and high school are invited to sign up for the summer reading group to read and discuss Sunrise on the Reaping, the latest installment of the Hunger Games series.

In this prequel, fear grips the districts of Panem as a young Haymitch Abernathy is torn from his family and friends to fight in the Capitol's deadly arena. If you’re a fan of the original trilogy, you won’t want to miss this thrilling new chapter in the Hunger Games saga. Get ready for secrets, twists, and a story that will keep you turning pages long into the night!

Member can earn one hour of community service credit if they have a school requirement. Snacks and drinks will be served. No drop-ins! You must sign up in advance.

Library copies of Sunrise on the Reaping are in high demand and there is a long hold list. Here are some options for obtaining a copy if you don't already have one:

  • Borrow the audiobook on the Hoopla app (no waiting!) 
  • Sign up by Saturday, June 7, to request a free copy of the book (see the registration form) - THERE IS ONE FREE COPY OF THE BOOK REMAINING TO THE NEXT PERSON WHO SIGNS UP!
