High school students who need to earn community service credit for school can sign up to lend a "helping hand"!
Lend a helping hand at the Library for community service credit.
The first step - if you haven't done so yet - is to complete the Teen Volunteer Application.
Next, sign up for the dates you can attend. If your plans change, make sure to cancel your registration.
Shifts are on Tuesdays after school and you can report to the office in the Teen Room.
Community service hours are 4-6 pm; you can volunteer for all or part of that time.
If you cannot attend on Tuesdays, contact the Teen Librarian at teens@beltiblibrary.org to discuss your availability.
Please bring your school community service form to the library for signature if you have one. You are responsible for tracking your time, so make note of the days and hours you work.
Tasks will be assigned when you check in at the Teen Room and may include working in the garden, keeping the Teen Room organized and clean, shelving books, and other tasks.
Limited to four students in grades 9-12 per session. If you are in middle school and have a community service requirement, go ahead and sign up and make sure to state your age/grade.
The Library is a vibrant community hub that offers a wide range of resources, programs, and services for people of all ages.
Whether you're looking for books, movies, computers, or a quiet place to study, we have something for you.
Our dedicated staff is always here to help you find what you need.
