Learn how to select, plant and grow roses for your garden. Marin Master Gardener Rod Kerr will demonstrate how to prune in order to make plants healthy and productive.

During this demonstration, Rod will explain how pruning roses yields plants clothed in green foliage with abundant flowers.

Pruning also helps to control plant size and encourage growth in particular shapes and directions.

Rod Kerr is a Master Gardener who has been growing and tending roses for more than 30 years. He has been teaching classes on growing roses to master gardeners and residents of Marin for many years and was the Co-President of the UC Marin Master Gardeners from 2018 to 2020.
