You may have scoliosis, swayback, kyphosis or other spine misalignment, but your brain’s motor center can relearn how to stand, sit and walk in alignment.
In this workshop you will learn to:
• Alleviate neck and back strain from daily activities that injure your spine: sitting too long at the computer or TV, carrying a heavy bag, standing at the sink or walking stairs.
• Prevent falls with leg strengthening and balance exercises.
• Activate your "righting reflex" to train the brain to avoid accidents.
Instructor Claire Cohn, M.A., B.F.A. draws upon her background in kinesiology, dance/movement therapy, bioenergetics and qigong practices to teach self-healing through movement. Her psychomotor mind-body work with children and adults informs her remedial exercise programs. She maintains an online and live private practice. Clients say that her programs prepare them to move more carefully, becoming mindful of proper body mechanics and spinal alignment.
