Join us for a workshop focused on the art of mending. Bring your favorite ripped jacket or blouse with a loose button and join the Mending Revolution!

Join us for a hands-on workshop that teaches basic clothing repair skills as well as more advanced mending!

What You'll Learn:

  • Darning: A method for repairing holes or worn areas in knit fabrics
  • Visible Mending: A creative approach that embraces the repair by making it a feature
  • Tailoring: Learn how to hem garments, take in seams, or adjust fit to make clothes more comfortable and flattering.
  • Patches: Reinforce or cover damaged areas with fabric patches, either discreetly or as a decorative design element.
  • Japanese Mending (Sashiko): A traditional Japanese technique that combines repair with beauty, using small, even stitches to strengthen and embellish worn fabric.

Attendees are encouraged to bring a few garments in need of repair—anything from well-loved jeans to a sweater with a small tear. No prior sewing experience is required. All tools and basic materials will be provided, along with guidance and support throughout the session.
