Teen Garden Work Day

Community Service Opportunity for Teen Volunteers

Earn an hour of community service credit at the Library!

Teen volunteers are wanted to help spruce up the teen patio and garden. Tasks will include pulling weeds, sweeping and raking debris, trimming and watering plants, filling the compost bin, and filling seed packets. 

A follow-up teen patio work day will be scheduled later this summer to fill the planters with soil and plant a new garden; stay tuned for more information about the second phase when we create a new garden environment.

Wear casual clothes that can get a little dirty. Aprons and gloves are available. There may be bees and allergens, so protect yourself as needed.

Bring your water bottle and wear sunscreen. Snacks and drinks will be provided.
