Patton Reconsidered: Author Talk with James Ellman

Join Tiburon author and historian James Ellman for a provocative new look at General Patton that challenges the myth of Patton and reveals the man —and general — behind the legend.

James Ellman's new book, Patton Reconsidered: General George S. Patton Jr. as a Wartime Commander, challenges the long-standing view of Patton as a military genius and examines his battlefield record, leadership, and controversial conduct during World War II.

Patton Reconsidered questions why Patton continues to be held up as a model of military leadership while his failures on the battlefield and manifest criminal actions are downplayed or ignored.
